Jesus... I was actually at this show. Frank is on the right in the hat. They were on before Sonic Youth (I think this was SY's first ever UK show).

They made a total, total racket for about half an hour. At the end, they came back out, Frank said, "We'd like to do an encore," did one second more of horrific ear-bleeding white noise, then said, "Thank you, goodnight." Classic entertainment.

its difficult to tell because both tovey and rice are tall and lanky, in fact they look quite alkie,but i think your probably right.

My guess is that Boyd is on the left, Tovey on the right.
