Video of Black Coffee - piano solo by Surrey based jazz pianist Eugene Portman

This is a video of me playing Black Coffee. I discovered this song in a book of blues songs about ten years ago. It is a great song with a very unusual middle section.

The music to "Black Coffee" was written by Sonny Burke with lyrics by Paul Francis Webster and was published in 1948. Amongst the singers who have recorded this song are: Sarah Vaughan (1949), Peggy Lee(1953) and Ella Fitzgerald (1960).
