Well as far as I know Cayenne is the second most successful Porsche model ever so they need some models besides the classical 9xx Porsches to afford the Production and because of productivity reasons, trust me Porsche is still THE most successful car company, everything they do makes sense, highly overpaid Wiedeking does his job perfectly, this year they suffer -25% sales so they have to come up with something now, thats all.

porsche is an independing company so the have to explore the market whit new ideas.
they have to sell cayene to survive and now they think to do the same whit this car.
by the way lamborgini and aston martin are doing the same with estoque and rapide

just my opinion. the cayenne is a total image killer of porsche. and know this type of car? seriously it is ridiculous.

This car is an affront to the Marque! Looks lilke a flattened Cayenne (the chilli pepper) If Ferdinand Porsche were alive today, he would never allow the design. I have owned 3 Porsches. 2 944's and 11 911 Carrera. Now I don't like them anymore because the Compamy finally gave in to keeoing up with every SUV or sedan out there. What's next? a Ferrari SUV? Absolutely Ridiculous
