In this video we show some footage from one of our detailed training videos. We are looking specifically at how you create the acrylic tip and smile line using Inverted Moulds.

Notice that we are sculpting the tip by hand using acrylic. You do not need plastic 'tips' or nail glue when using Inverted Moulds.

If you want to learn how to use Inverted Moulds then access to the members area of our website is now 'Free'. Just go to www.easynail.co.uk for more information.

  • where can i get the nail tips or nails?

  • @wendygallegos86 Hi we mail order them directly off our website and can send them to many different countries around the world. All the online training on the site is free too :-) Just go to our YouTube channel page and you will see a direct link to our site easynail co uk :-)

  • whenever I try this method and i apply it on the nail the smile line gets really messed up...it just completely loses it's shape :\ any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

  • @athinalileth Yes, it sounds like your are not letting the white acrylic harden before application. Once the white acrylic tip has fully cured there is no way for the smile line to distort. As an after thought, make sure you are not 'mixing' your acrylics, sometimes using an acrylic liquid from one company and powder from another doesn't always give great results. If you want more detailed help just e-mail us :-)

  • Can I use powdered pigment to color the gel?

  • @TammyEMD Hi, yes you can use powdered pigment in 'Clear' acrylic powder and get good results. We have tried using pigment in clear UV gels but sadly the results were less than convincing. HTH's

  • @JaYaNcutie lol I did them myself using Windows Movie Maker :-) The trick with the graphics is actually quite simple, but a little time consuming. Pause the footage where you want to start the graphic and then use the 'Take a Snap Shot' button. This gives you a 'still' then use a paint program to add a graphic, then save it, then add another, then save it as a new pic, repeat until done. Then add the stills into the storyboard, include some fades and that's it :-) Hope that helps!

  • hi where did you edit your videos and how...

  • @kamilicrafts some people use a thin marker pen on the outside of the mould to indicate where to put the smile, then turn the mould over and put in the white and sculpt the smile to the line. Once your done the marker pen should just wipe off with a little bit of prep solution. It's all about practice though, the more you do the easier it will become :-)
