I was a Hagler fan, but on the night I did think by the 8th Leonard was going to get the decision if Hagler didn't knock him out.

And the debate still continues... Especially at that time, a man had to convincingly take the belt from the champion. I don't know, Leonard put on a brilliant performance but I'm still not convinced that he won that fight. I am convinced that if Hagler had come out in the first three rounds with evil intentions and not tried fucking around with the all American cutie, then boxing history would have had an entirely different story to tell.

@BlackMessiah87 2nd reply and Jo Jo Guerra IRONICALLY replaced a judge who Hagler's camp (CAMP not himself) felt would be biased, as he has judged many rounds in Leonard's favour beforehand), but that judge when asked would have actually given the fight to Hagler, hypothetically making HAGLER the 2-1 (judges) split decision winner.. Jo Jo Guerra should have been banned from judging top fights for LIFE for giving Leonard that many rounds. Rediculous.

@BlackMessiah87 he had 4 fights against TOP middleweight contenders behind closed doors.. this little fucker made so much money he could afford to pay them top dollar including a non disclosure part in the contract so he could get prepared. He was thus better prepared than Hagler. He also made Hagler fight with 12 oz gloves, which is the ONLY reason he was able to take the punches, he made him fight in a 22x22 ring, when 18 or 20 square is the NORM.AND SO ON. to be continued.

@banofee999 Not the judges bro, only one judge gave it to Leonard, two of them scored it 115-113 whilst the third judge, a bias bastard scored it 118-110. Talk about anomalies, how the fuck can you go from 115-113 to 118-110, sometimes I think what fight did this dickhead watch?

i think they both deserved the win i mean it just came down to two judges opinion. i mean hagler was the agressor and landed some good shots but was getting all pissed of cus ray was moving to me thats a sign that things arent going your way. ray leonard had ring generalship he used the whole ring he landed more shots they were clean but hagler might have landed a little bit more power shots but not many. they both got reasons to win and lose i the judges just thought ray earned it so fair play.
