my favourite dynasty is the Song,that might be the most rich and free dynasty in ancient chinese,the fist emperor of the Song even said"never kill one 士大夫"，the maths， science and art also had many achievements，some Chinese might not like the Song dynasty,becouse Song was always be threatened by the Jin and Liao,at last been kill by the Mongolia

Ancient Chinese dynasties did invade other countries, but most of these invasions were retaliations. For example, the nomadic Xiong Nu invaded the Han Dynasty,and then the imperial army of Han Dynasty retaliated and defeated the Xiong Nu.
