19 dollars was a lot back then.

Instamatic cameras WERE easy to load and use, but they didn't take very good photos, unfortunately. The size of the negatives was so small, and the camera lenses were so cheap, that the prints never were sharp.
Of course I realize that this description is so outdated that some people won't even know what a "negative" is.

loved my Kodak camera and loved Elizabeth and Agnes. When I was a little girl I lived in San Juan Capistrano Calif and often saw Agnes Moorehead shoping at our local Von's grocery store....we would giggle with delight to think that a star was shopping at our store!

@RQVOutdoorMoovies I remember that. Fortunately I still have some old VHS tapes that I made in 1980, with those "brought to you by" tags. I have some Lucy Show, and Partridge Family shows. For the PF, Shirley's voice comes on and says "The Partridge Family will back after this message" Some have early scenes with narration too. Cool!

In character commercials are fun to watch. When did they stop doing that? When did characters from shows stop doing commercials? I wish they'd come out with DVD collections with the original ads. They'd make a mint. I can remember early in BEWITCHED syndication run, at the end of the opening, by the stove when the smoke forms, the sound would die. As a kid, I turned the sound all the way up and between scratches you could hear the announcer say "presented" or "brought to you by" Very Cool!
