Apparently she retired from acting some years ago.
Her son managed to persuade her to accept a role in the comedy film "Hot Fuzz" about three years ago, but since then she's gone back to her quiet life.
Would be amazing to see her onstage.

@scottl82 Seek out the documentary THE ART OF INFLUENCE. In it, the great French choreographer Maguy Marin discusses her love of Beckett, and the effect of the man and his work on her work. In the ten-minute segment, clips a one-to-two minute clip of Billie Whitelaw's HAPPY DAYS is included, beginning with "And now...words fail." It's a beautiful little segment.

Don't know how she kept her face straight throughout this scene!!!! A tremendous actress she is though and a strangely attractive woman!
