Tea Party activist in San Diego asks the San Diego City Council to to stop allowing the illegal encampment of Occupy San Diego protesters at the Civic Center Plaza. The encampment is called a hazard to public health and safety. Just the day before this meeting, Kyle Pearson, fell to his death from the upper story of the parking structure next to the encampment area.

  • This guy is just scared of free speech.

  • @w74c78 - Scared of thugs allowed to violate the law.

  • Would an encampment under such conditions be allowed, if it was by the Minutemen on the Mexican border?

  • @borderraven - Depending on location, it may not be illegal there as it is in downtown San Diego.

  • did this guy even read his speech before standing up?

  • @MrPhilvilla - I go downtown all the time and have been to 15th and Island, the center of the homless area. I believe I saw one tent and it had a wheelchair inside of it, so they probably allowed it, because the guy was handicapped. In any case, if they allow it for homeless, who have no place to go, that does not mean they have to allow an exception to the law to a bunch of wanna-be revolutionaries, just because they want to raise a mob, with which to intimidate and disrupt businesses.

  • @SoNSanDiego Homeless people do have tents and camps. Try going to downtown San Diego sometime. That's the place that we're talking about. and they're "allowed" to because they don't have homes. Hence the term, "homeless."

  • @SoNSanDiego Me too. You don't know anyone down there. You looked at them, then labeled them. Some are homeless. some are not. I know people down there. I AM one of the people down there. Why don't you come say hi sometime, in person. Then we can have a real conversation instead of you simply calling us names.

  • @SoNSanDiego UMM its about the citizens united ruling. its about the destruction of the Glass Steagall act. It's about the ridiculousness of the revolving door. It's about our politicians working for the benefit of corporate interests. It's about your vote not counting for much. Where's the crackpot?? yes there are some communists and anarchists down there. What's wrong with that? Its a political philosophy, just like capitalism or socialism.

  • @SoNSanDiego "LOL" is not the appropriate thing to type before writing "sorry he died." Nice. Also, i didn't know the guy, why are you apologizing to me??
