@09theonly hmmm....just not sure about that argument. 13 percent of the U.S. population and FORTY percent of it's inmate population? even if you took every concievable variable out of the criminal justice system, blacks would still appear to be inherently more criminal than other races.

@09theonly Of the 2.2+ MILLION People in jail, 770,000 are Black. That is a very large population, but not the largest. Hard numbers are being used in this instance. HOWEVER, if you use Per Capita, then the numbers are sad. Whites love percentages for this very fact, and Blacks will always come off on the wrong side, because the "numbers" are based on 300 Million Whites and 40 Million Blacks.

just because a majority of people in jail are black doesnt mean they commit more crimes. it means they get convicted more. whites have a lower conviction rate which means those who get caught, dont go to jail. they are let go. you can look up conviction rates in relation to crime rates. im not sayin blacks are better but ppl need to know the facts
