Daniel Wu's (吳彥祖) character in the film 'Overheard' (竊聽風雲) faces a tough dilemma: While surveilling a listed trading company he inadvertently overhears sensitive market information that he could be use for his own financial gain.

Through this tale, the film seeks to portray the great lengths people would go in order to seek wealth. Wu says he wants the audience to take away a sense of morality after watching the film.
