Also I wire up the feed droppers to the fishplates not to the rails - that way you are only relying on a single rubbing contact with the fishplate rather than two.

I guess you should know the answer to this one! Can we run an AC electric through ? I have an idea on a possibility within our time frame - late 60s early 70s - but would be interested to hear what you think!

@d803albion its possible, if you have OHLE, but you could always drag one with a western :P even though that never happened

Yup would have to be a drag as no OHLE - how about E3044 en route to Bristol Open Day , did that a few times but dont know if it came this way or via Hereford and Severn Tunnel
