@iAmRandom32 I'm glad I made you think a little :) like I said, I don't condone suicide. I just don't like this reasoning for preventing it. The reason to prevent suicide is to save someone's life, for their own good, not for the good of their loved ones. Thanks for listening :)

@losingmymind611 that kinda just blew my mind lol. because i never thought of it that way...good point. but i agree with you - if that person is depressed, killing yourself wouldn't be the solution. i'm not saying stay alive for someone else, but do it for yourself. because life might seem bad now but it always gets better... if you allowed it to, of course.

Telling someone it's selfish to kill themselves is also selfish, in a sense. I don't want anyone to kill themselves, it's tragic and a waste of life, but why would you want someone depressed and miserable to stay alive just for you? It seems like a selfish reason.
