wait, water is about 15 times more dense than air right? that means if this had no drag acting on it from the water it would be able to manage somewhere in the region of (60x15) 900kts!, well you'd have to take into account wind and drag and the like, weight and stuff but that'd still be bloody fast!

It did. Most of the yelling (in French) is numbers - speeds. Towards the end they yell "cinquante trois" (phonetically "sank-ont twah") - 53 knots!
