Continuing with the teaching of Vimalakirti, Bob explains how the Buddhist theory of evolution is similar to Darwin's; but differs greatly on a personal, karmic level.
I'm so happy that Bob finally took a sip of his drink. I kept thinking throughout watching these "Take a sip Bob. You can stop for a second to nourish yourself and you could use it for your throat with all this talking." :)
Realizing the potential of every person on the planet, especially in the context of the coming renewable energy "cool-fusion" revolution, means trillions of dollars for the banking elite. They should pay attention more to visionaries.
A Buddha-field starts with those who are worst off, not the comfortable self-absorbed yoga-magazine reading baby boomers. That is how humanity can reach the tipping point, of our own survival.
Imagine, every inner city school student from a young age, receiving an hour of guidance counseling every day, talking about diet, nutrition, sex, conflict resolution, the importance of school, how to get into college, civil involvement. Actually, maybe every child in America should get guidance classes like this. It could be a good cause for celebrities to make guest appearances too.
I think inner city schools should have "Guidance classes" to replace bad parenting, which would be far more efficient than one-on-one guidance counselors. (cont.)
The mind that Longchenpa shows you (ripga, vidya) is already liberated, but it takes so much work and concentration to habituate your mind to abiding in self-arising awareness. Especially when you drink heavily like me, and blog about George Bush and conspiracy theories. My liver is mitagpa. My mind is polluted by anxiety and seeing the hungry ghosts slinking in the corridors of power. Anxiety is the mirror of the lizard mind, greed, aggression. Can you believe even anxiety is self-liberated?

There is noone in America like me. I am a precious drunken jewel. My ego is the size of a mountain.

The Mahayana is based on the theory (or observation) that the hallucination of enlightenment can liberate the mind from hallucination.
