100% agreed with you I own 2008 f-450 only 27,xxx miles with only 1000 engine hours and it's a junk see my complete thread here: h t t p://powerstrokenation.c o m/forums/showthread.php?t=125203&highlight=
The problem is that that motor is junk. I have an 08 F350 myself. I get 11mpg and the damn thing makes kinds of weird noises. Chugs now and again and doesn't have all that much power either. Not pleased with this truck. Its a friggin LOADED lariat too. Its got 82k on it now. When its warranty is up...trading in on the new 6.7. I mangaged to avoid the 6.0 nightmare. I LOVED my 7.3!!!
My 2008 SuperDuty did that. I took it into the dealer and they had to disassemble the truck to change the high pressure fuel pumps. They moved the bed back and removed the cab completly to get access to the area. They kept the truck for 11 days and generated an $11383.00 bill, that all went to warranty. i paid my $100 deductible and the truck has traveled over 100,000 miles without issue since then.
so my 2001 7.3 does the exact same thing, seems worse when you kick in turbo, almost like a blown head gasket , alsmost a stall, did you every pin point your problem?
