I got 19 seconds into this before having to stop. This terrified me as a child. WHAT PARENT LETS THEIR FIVE YEAR OLD WATCH THIS???? I'm almost 20 and still, shit scared of this movie.

I used to watch this movie weekly as a child- it really is breathtaking. The daily mail gave it 3 stars because they said the animation wasn't perfect- what a bunch of shift eating cunts!

I would just like to throw this out there--I actually grew up with this movie and enjoyed it. It never scared me at all, in fact for whatever reason, I found the truly disturbing parts oddly fascinating. Shoot, one year for Easter I got Hazel and Fiver figurines.

I love it, too. And I completely agree. I just finished reading the book two weeks ago, then I watched the movie here on the site (it was taken down a day after I finished watching it, so really I dodged the bullet)

But I agree with the idea of kids being scared of it. It's really not for kids. Too violent and a bit too deep. The message would probably go over a young child's head. And the fights would give them nightmares.

But still, it's a beautiful story. Well worth reading or watching.
