Here's a stunning 1934 Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B that won the 1935 German Grand Prix, it starts up and drives off to its race, it was driven by Jon Shirley. This was at the 2010 Pacific Northwest Historics At Pacific Raceways In Seattle.
Just perfect - looks right, sounds right, goes right ... and all done by one man. The reason today's racing cars look like a Lego set gone wrong is that they are cobbled together like separate technologies bolted on to each other. It's like setting a team of technicians to re-design the race horse - you end up with a camel.
Tuck your shirt in, Eric.
