This short video demonstrates how to recycle calendar pages by turning them into envelopes for hand made greeting cards. In the video, I forgot to mention that of course you glue the envelope flap down -- but its rather self evident

  • Do you have any ideas on using old greeting cards to make stuff? I have a ton of greeting cards that I have kept for years. There must be something creative I can do with them.

  • @logansmom91799 Oh sure, you can cut pieces out of them and use for decorating cards or scrapbook pages, etc. Or you can cover over the entire front of the card, as well as the writing inside, and make new cards to send. I did that last year with all of my Christmas cards. I have a video up somewhere about recycled Christmas cards.

  • Great idea! Great way to recycle old calendars!

  • Thanks! I have now run out of calendars and am using glossy junk mail and fliers that enter my home.

  • I loved the card! Do you have a tutorial for the card? Great idea for the envelope. I will not throw my calendars anymore. Do you have ideas for using the Cricut expression. I just bought one and ..... blank blank blank. Before it I had tons of ideas, but now..... hmmmm. It is amazing though!!

  • Thank you! I don't have a tutorial for the card, but it is a shaker box. I have a video showing how to make a shaker box. As for the card, it is vellum on top, with a scalloped circle cut with Nestabilities. The circle in the vellum is positioned to go over top of the shaker box. The gold embellishment is a sticker.

I don't have the Cricut Expression. I have the first Cricut. I used it yesterday to cut shapes for Valentines. Maybe someday I'll get the Expression when the budget permits.
