  • @1banders You are absolutely correct.

  • @stargirlsusan This monstrous arrangement of an early 18th c. church cantata movement --- originally scored for tenor, violin and basso continuo --- has very little to do with baroque expression and much more to do with late 19th century romantic expression.

  • This arrangement is a brutal monstrosity

  • Magical

  • Transcribed by Leopold Stokowski. He passed away on September 13, 1977.

  • Une grâce de Dieu !

  • This is heavymusic

  • I'd like to buy this, but CDs of the Stokowski Transcriptions sell at a very high price on Amazon.com.

  • This Bach's earliest cantata was mainly influenced by Dieterich Buxehude, clear role model for Bach.

  • Great combination: old Master and a brilliant XX century pupil
