What was the point of Chicago, IL being there if it was crossed out?

@barber747 That's a gag that's kind of lost its context in this short clip. This was from a special week in Los Angeles and Dave promoted the viewer mail segment that week as being a special week where "All the letters are from viewers here in Los Angeles." And for each letter, the actual hometown was crossed out and replaced with Los Angeles.
