Broken LCD to Solar Panel recycling green DIY Project Part 2
I took a broken 17.1 LCD laptop screen and recycled it into a Solar panel.
This is the perfect green DIY project! I will be using broken solar cells with standard tabbing wire.
Im going to give this solar panel to one of my 8000 subscribers, just shoot me a comment or video response as to why you need it or how you will use it.
The best response wins!
I signed the LCD Solar panel and want to thank everyone for all their support.
Keep your eye out for the other parts to this video.
All the best,
-Pete

  • Hey pete, as you know i'm sick for more then 2 years now and as i get only 52% of my salary from before i need help from my mother to be able to pay all the bills. This solar panel might be good to cut a bit down on the electric bill. I would use it to charge a few small batteries that i can use to make the lighting go. Thx pete, your a great guy.

    Greetings from Belgium

    Erik

  • @rikkiesix Erik my friend, I hope your doing well. God bless you and your family.

Email me, I will send you a solar powered light from one of my exporters. This one im going to give away local but you will enjoy the solar powered light more I think.

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • Have you ever thought about making this into a small business by making solar panels and installing them in peoples homes? Electric bills will only go up and having solar energy will come in very handy in the future.

  • @themightyjoseph Thanks for the comments, I sure have. Im very thankful to have a computer business that is really busy. It would be hard for me to do something else at this point with Youtube and I really enjoy making video (youtube) and my business. Maybe in the future.. ;o)

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • I have a spare 14" XGA LCD and I am getting a driver board for it and covert it as a portable TV. I will solder some batteries in series ( I have 4 iPhone batteries) and I could use the solar panel with a regulator to charge the batteries maybe while on vacation.

  • So here is my idea, one side of the box will be LCD and the other side will be the solar panel. So In the morning leave it in the Sun for charging and in the night you could enjoy TV programs or connect your iPhone via the video cable and watch a movie or maybe even use it as a lantern with a white background. You dont even need a line voltage to do so. .

  • i would love to have one like that to use for my truck wen i put a system in it to help my alternator that would be so cool to do thad it would save alot of money from buying power caps and alternators
