How I turned an old thin client into nettop PC in a simple way. This nettop can be used for e-mail, internet radio, surfing the web, facebook and other social media. Low cost, low power consumption, silent - no cooling fans.

  • @pdiddles03 Hi! It needs more memory (min. 512MB) to run flash player required by Hulu. Didn't try Puppy but it should be Ok. HP box works fine as a small web server based on Debian 5.

  • @Todd82TA Thx for yr post. Good to know that film was heplful

  • So could this be used to play xbmc, boxee or watch hulu on it? Or would puppy linux be a better candidate for something like this? Seems like it might make a great web hosting server for someone starting out also.

  • Cool! Great idea mounting the hard drive to the inside panel of the case. I just did the same thing to my HP thin client and used your idea.
