"Acceptance", sung by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and composed by Akira Yamaoka, is the twentieth song off the original Shattered Memories Soundtrack and appears twice in the game. While a voiceless version of this song can be heard during the opening credits, either the vocal-version of "Acceptance" or the song "Hell Frozen Rain" plays during the ending credits with Dr. Kaufmann's diagnosis of Cheryl. According to the game this song might be a reference to Cheryl's illusion about her father Harry being alive, and then slowly accepting the truth about his death.
