It's wrong to call this a "Carole King song". Gerry Goffin wrote the lyrics, Carole wrote the melody. Credit where credit is due.

Love this song covered by Dusty Springfield; her version IMO is better than any other. She always had the ability to pick great songs. Thanks for uploading...

Dusty Springfiled's version of this song is so powerfully-great, that it makes me want to cry, I wonder if she released this as a single, Miss Springfield please rest in peace in our heaven.

The ultimate... soulful yet restrained. Dusty always sang the song... never reverted to self-mannerisms and cliche. Thankfully YouTube postings keep her memory alive while introducing her to new audiences.

I've never heard her sound better, despite the rather poor audio quality. It's a shame that she never recorded this on record. Compare this interpretation to that of the Drifter's, Julie Grant or Carole King herself. Dusty really added remarkable sophistication to this classic. I just can't get enough of it.

Wow. What a great version of this song. One of my favourites. Dusty makes the song her own. The ending is pure magic.

Such a beautiful, beautiful soul. I wonder how many hearts Dusty has melted through the years...besides mine.
