i don't care about gay marriage because it's legal where i live, canada. the fact that it's still illegal in the US is so archaic and silly, like who cares lol.

Well said (:

@miggie777 well for atheists they don't perceive it as a religious thing. And what you're trying to imply is that anyone that's atheist shouldn't have the right to get married?? We're all human and everyone should be treated equally with respect. That's what he's trying to get across.
If you expect people to respect your beliefs just because you're religious they you should respect a gay couples' choice to marry. No-one's more important than other people around them, remember that.

@miggie777 Actually marriage was around before organized religion

UNDER THE PRESENT DEFINITION! LOL I dont care what these athiest learder try to change or reword what marriage stands for. IT WILL AWAY BE A RELIGIOUS THING! what else are they gonna try to change? remember me when they try to change something personal to you and we see where we stand in the topic.

@schmidtm1010 I guess my point is that anyone who is attracted to their same sex has at least a chance of ultimately having a relationship with a person of their same sex. Hence it being related to topics like gay marriage in my mind.

why should people pay attention your youth inexperienced dont have a clue about life person? its obvious that you have no convictions about who you are and what you believe in because its so easy to have an oppinion about some thing without any cares in the world. its not about getting into peoples business. its about messing with somebodies belief dude. it marriage is a religious thing why are athiest trying to mess with it??? im a christian and have my beliefs just dont mess with my bible.

@miggie777 NO ONE is messing with your bible. Marriage is NOT a purely religious event in the U.S. One does not need to step foot in a church to get married under the present definition, so it makes little sense that religious beliefs should enter into this debate at all.
