Notice the wind isn't coming on shore,,, if it was, those waves would be really nasty. I'll bet a mile or two off shore they were probably 15' to 20'.

You know what my family calls waves like that? Good swimming.

A friend and I went swimming on a Red flag day at either Grand Haven or Ludington...can't remember which beach. It wasn't bad at all

Never been to Lake Michigan before? Back in 1998 We had a really really bad storm in November! South Haven is a great place to grow up.. But I wouldnt want to live there! NOW! * Hey why dont you go walk out on the lighthouse! Thats what most of the tourists try to do- Even thou the signs say don't!

This is filmed by someone who is obviously not from Michigan. Or if they are, then they must be from the thumb. Ha!

It a normal lake Michigan day for all of the Michiganders

I have windsurfed in many locations, Gorge, North Shore Maui, but a day a few years ago in September at Silver Beach was the most radical day of sailing in my life. That day, the waves were 16 ft with winds 45 knot straight out of the North and water temps in the 50's. Once you were out in the lake the white caps were the size of school buses. This place can rock and can kill you!!!
Dude, that's nothing? "Nothing like I've ever seen before". How long have you been around???

For someone who has never lived near Lake Michigan and only visited, it was something. It sure wasn't a nice spring or summer day at the beach.
