Love Gatemouth. Saw him live about 6 or 7 times, mostly in Houston after he spent some years in Europe. This is from before that time, I believe. Also saw him in Louisiana and Beaufort, SC once many yrs later.

I saw him in the 1980s in a little bar called Tom's Foolery in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He played a Gibson Firebird guitar and an electric violin. When I left he had been playing for three hours nonstop and was still going strong. Amazing.
