You need ezplayer pro to start hi hat loops and such.I use it all the time. Its really cool and easy to do.I use an alesis controlpad to do the triggering, and use ezplayer percussion pak in solo. And its a great place to store all your midi as well as make or change midi files.

what are you triggering with the kick drum? how does that work?
uglypeasant 10 months ago
@uglypeasant I am triggering a step sequencer in the Nord Modular G2. This means, each bass drum hit produces a synth bass note out of a preprogrammed pattern. I just posted a more complex explanation of the triggering in my blog at blog.sebastian-arnold dotnet

@batzberlin but you're not playing along to a click. you're controlling the tempo.

@uglypeasant yeah, you're right! the step sequencer does not use a static clock that runs on its own. there is no click running at all! instead, the sequencer is connected to the bassdrum: each bassdrum hit triggers the next step in the bassline. when I stop playing, everything else will stop, too.
