I've had this kit for a couple of months now, and I get a lot of mail about the thing so I thought I better make a proper review video.

  • Great, honest review. Just managed to get the TD9-KX2 off of eBay for £950. Bloody bargain if you ask me, what a fantastic kit.

  • @cmhine You jammy sod, near enough half price!

  • im thinking of buying this but i want a double bass pedal with it im not sure if the website im looking at supplies two pedals with the kit

  • @mikeu117gh The kit itself is supplied without a hi-hat stand or bass pedal, you are expected to supply them yourself. If you do order it from somewhere, you will need to buy the pedal and stand as well if you dont already have your own. Any standard kick pedals or hi-hat stands will do, it's not any specific Roland ones. You'll get suitable ones from any decent music shop or drum store.

  • Saw your comment on my review and popped over to find that you also have a review. Nice review by the way. Pretty well covers all bases.

  • I know - I consider myself very lucky indeed. The cha I bo8ight them off is a guitarist, wanted to “have a dabble” at the drums. He said he had an HD1 kit upstairs, for when the mood takes him. But he paid £1880 (including a bass pedal, stand and hi-hat stand) about 6 months ago. It had only been for sale a few hours when he responded positively to a buy it now request. He suggested £950 for cash. Great. Now all I have to do is learn how to play them - groan

  • @axeman3d well if you buy some of those new kits, itd be great if youd upload some samples :)

    anyway have a nice day

  • @mbd691 Actually I bought a CY-8 instead. The CY-8 is only £50, and the full arm assembly to mount it is the same, so the whole thing is less than just the CY-12C itself. Not as nice looking, but works great. Cant post links in comments, but search for the vdrums forums. Its an excellent resource for info and tips, and there's a VEX section where you get links to the V-Expressions people. Folk swear by them, so I might try a set out and see.

  • @axeman3d oh nice. perhaps you could link me? and for the crash you just bought the cy-12c right? also are you thinking about adding another tom?

  • @mbd691 It appears to be a very popular model, and I can see why. I have since added a second crash cymbal, and am thinking of buying new kits from the V-Expressions website. They do reworked settings that you can upload for 10 or 20 bucks that give you lots of new kits.
