Remember that Basil plant I was collecting seeds from? Well I also took
a cutting from it and stuck it in a glass of water to see what would
happen. It rooted!

  • @rosewood513 Thank you! I am loving this camera! You'll have to let me know how it goes overwintering basil! I know it doesn't survive the cold, are you going to keep it inside?

  • @hauntedfamilyinAZ Thank you, you are too kind! Hoping to do lots more videos now that the weather's getting nice again

  • @biojovial OMGoodness some people have nothing nice to say so they rather just make an ass of themselves! Honey, you are doing an amazing job with your basil cutting, in fact you taught me that I too was able to grow roots from my cutting the old fashion way without having to spend tons of cash at home depot. this is the way our grandmas did it and it works. don't stop your experiments or videos because some rude lonely person is too miserable to say admit you're doing a good job.

  • I would do naughty things to this girl :)

    Congrats on your Basil babe.

  • if you gently scar "with your fingernail" the stem of the basil plant after the first sign of rooting you will notice that the roots will branch out from your scar, if you are too aggressive you may kill the plant but when done properly you can continue the practice until the roots are so abundant you will have a fully mature plant in much less time, if you live in year round warm weather you can havest from the same plant over and over again while allowing it to grow into a BASIL TREE!

  • That also works very well with marijuana plants........lol just in case you want to know

  • @biojovial I don't think so but I did take a root cutting and it sprouted super fast.

  • Great video, thanks.

You should add some studio audience laughter every time you giggle, that would add some pizzaz to your video! The world is waiting.

  • would you do a follow up video and show us the basil plant?
