i love her, but this is wretched and misguided. i doubt anyone will ever match bernadette peters' mastery of "unexpected song."

I LOVE this version. I didn't know it was really a slow song until a little while ago because I've heard this song on Music Choice for a few years now. lol. I like the wonderful Miss Buckley's perfromance. :) Could you send me this song? I wanna try to sing this version in a talent show. :D

@baadpuddytat You are so right. I'm trying to make a case for this interpretation based on the subtext, but I simply can't. It's too much of a stretch. The only case you can make for it leads you to a perspective on the speaker that isn't flattering.
