They REALLY should have kept this scene. Their first kiss in the original cut wasn't even shown off well enough. This scene is perfect! Plus, do you have any idea how much running in a corset takes out of a girl? I speak from experience!

I never understood why they deleted this scene. I thought it really would have added something to the movie.

I'm pretty sure that was one line they kept in the final version...
I cannot recall any statements of Heath in relation to child abuse but I have no doubt he was completely against any sort of child abuse. One thing view people know is that he visited the Subiaco Hospital children's ward in Perth anonymously (dressed up as a clown) frequently to cheer up sick children...
