Epic August Monsoon

A whopper of a monsoon rolled through Phoenix metro tonight... Again, I was on the couch trying to catch up on some work, and there were so many intense flashes out there I HAD to go get a few shots. All these are from my driveway, nothing special in the way of foreground, but I had to denouement this incredible storm. I've been through over a dozen monsoon storms here in AZ, but tonight was particularly memorable.

For the other lightning junkies out there, and anyone interested for that matter -- I also took some video of the storm and mixed some of my crazy metal music to go with the ferocity of this storm. Its available on my website along with my top 5 shots of the night:
