@kingsized243 is it wrong to listen jungle and drum and bass in the same day?

@choppageworshipper u think what u had then was bad u should fuckin see what them fools are like now, it aint the music that makes people act like that thats just them init, if they happen to like the music then they jst shouldnt bring their bad attitudes, at least back then loads of the mc's wer chatting the peace and love lyric and that, now all u hear them mc's chat is gun lyric and lyrics about beatin heads and shit

@choppageworshipper I wasn't around in the acid house days so i can't compare, i guess you're right.

Yes, i am not talking about everywhere and not all the time- and not all the tunes were moody, i was just looking at a wider,say 10 year timescale from acid house through to drum and bass but especially around 94/95, the way the music progressed from happy to dark, at the same time, drug taking shifted from a lot of pills to a lot of weed, off course generally people had fun- we wouldn't go to clubs at all if we thought we were going to end up shot or stabbed.

@choppageworshipper bit of a distorted view you have, the raves i went to everyone was on pills and having a good time.

I remember buying Stamina when it came out and then being amazed at how sweet the B side is. Was suprised it never seemed to get played when i was out.

Jungle and weed was the dark, depressed and paranoid come-down after too many pills and too much acid house and hardcore- this is one of the reasons why a lot of the music in and around 94/95 was moody
There ain't no wonder, people used to take guns into jungle clubs in 1994- everybody was on edge, bad-boys swaggering about, many many gangs, dope smoking yardies- volatile dark music, volatile moods.
