it is my greatest regret that me and my mother never got a chance to play a duo on violin and cello collectively before she died. That wouldve been awesome beyond words

Or progressive rock aka art rock. More synthesizers to be found there...

Star Trek should be respected because of their choice of music? Isn't music a matter of taste? In connection with music, I think we should respect ST, because they do show people making music, be it classic, jazz, rock or rap.

Great! They just need trumpets and they're set. Star Trek should be well respected. None of that rock and roll crap. Just nice classical music. Jazz isn't bad either.

Hooray! French Horn survives into the 24th century.

@sondano "real music" ...?

Data sang his Italian opera in a leisurely way, not particularmente embarrassing.
I like that they put the music playing into some episodes. They were saying that music in the future still survived. I mean look at what human had gone through just to get where they were on that spaceship. I surprised music still was around and that they bothered to learn to play it. TV wasn't. I thought the last part with Data sing was embarrassing and funny. But oh so cute.

If they did this in a show now-a-days, they'd either outright laugh at it or have the characters put themselves down for doing it. Shame, really.
