Polly: We are here at the most famous night market in Taichung. Zoe, you live in Taichung so you definitely know which market we are at, right?

Zoe: Of course! It is Fengjia night-market.

Polly: Bingo! Today, I want to introduce one kind of Japanese style cuisine in Fengjia night-market—fried noodles in bread.

Zoe: Fried noodles in bread? How come you said that it is Japanese-style cuisine?

Polly: The idea of fried noodles in bread came from the main character of a famous comic book in Japan, called The King of Baking. Furthermore, this kind of cuisine is very common in Japan. People can buy it at convenience stores. There are two reasons why this cuisine has become more and more famous. First, the people in Taiwan can accept new ideas easily. Second, the dish is easy to carry.

Zoe: So in which store are we going to eat?

Polly: It is called Da- sheng, which has already run for four years. It is the first vendor of fried noodles in bread in Taiwan.

Zoe: Oh, really?

(Arrive to the store)

Zoe: Wow! There are six kinds of flavors, including Japanese, Italian, French cheese, Thai, American style and curry. Oh! I want to try all of them!

Polly: Zoe! Didn't you just tell me that you are on a diet?

Zoe: All right. I'm a big fan of Japan so, I'll select Japanese style. How about you?

Polly: I'm the most romantic person in the world, so I'll choose French cheese!

..............................

These are the ingredients of fried noodles in bread: Japanese style ramen, baby octopus, onion, bacon, cabbage, lettuce, oil and French handmade bread.

..............................

Zoe: Wow, this is our fried noodles in bread. Let's dig in. Did it taste good?

Polly: The bread is crispy but not greasy, perfectly matching the spaghetti. It's very tasty. The cheese above it enhances the taste of the spaghetti.

Zoe: My fried noodles in bread is Japanese flavor. With the ramen at the bottom, it tastes like Taiwanese instant noodles. The soft noodles and chewy octopus really match. Oh, this is really good!

Polly: Of course, fried noodles in bread is one of the famous dishes in Fengjia night-market.

Zoe: I know this dish is special but how come it has become so well-known? Other night markets also sell it, don't they?

Polly: You're right, but you forgot this stand is the first one that sold the fried noodles in bread in Taiwan.

Zoe: Now that makes sense. No wonder when people refer to fried noodles in bread they will think of Fengjia night-market.

Polly: That's right! The fried noodles in bread has not only turned into one of the attractions in Fengjia night-market, but it has also brought more tourists.

Zoe & Polly: So next time, when you come to visit Fengjia night-market, don't forget this exotic dish.

................................

Zoe: Let's move on. I can't wait to eat more novel snacks!

Polly: She has totally forgot that she is on a diet!
