  • yes it is Special Operations Aviation unlike the Special Forces. These guys wear a different color of beret. This is one of the units that participated in Task Force Ranger in Mogadishu, Somalia during the Black Hawk Down incident.

  • @FlyHigh3344 I agree....As a 31 yr vet I can tell you, almost anything is possible with honesty, hard work, dedication, and perservereance. To all the kids out there with dreams, just remember your actions speak louder than words, and don't ever think its too late to achieve your dreams, espeically if that means serving your country. By the way congrats to your brother!! I hope he makes it through Ranger School, he will then be my brother so to speak!! -Ranger 3/75th

  • @jtgros of course you mention BHD.... how about you classify the 160th as the unit that participated in the pakistan bin laden raid? or the regiment that all special operating forces (rangers seals delta SF) beg to have as their aviation support for missions. but no, you mention black hawk down.. lol..

  • !60th, the one place as a 15T that I dream of going to, them birds got more toys on 'em then my -60 Alpha's (regardless that their MEDEVAC) could hope to put on. Those Mikes are seriously badass.

  • @LIPOs6S0001 Hes a cadet he is the only cadet at his shcool to have completed both those shcools, and yes he turns 20 in June and he will be a butter bar in like 70 somethin days idk how many days exactly

  • ...for my only true ally is the night and the element of surprise...

  • @FlyHigh3344 wait he's 19 and he's going to be airborne officer? that doesn't sound right how did he get his degree that fast that would be like 6 months for a 4 year degree?!?!

  • @FlyHigh3344 And what have YOU done with your life?! Haha, just kidding.

  • Dont crush any kids dreams, my brother was a World of Warcraft nerd for 5 years totally an out of shape wimp. One day he started working out, and two years later hes 19 and already has his airborne and air assault wings and is going to commissioned in 90 days as an officer in the US army. His next stop is Ranger school.

  • @FLAMINGPICKLES Sorry to break it to you kid, but the chance of you making it into one these high end Special Operations is highly unlikely. Your just another 14 year old whos dreams is going to be crushed simply because you think you have your life figured out. Guess what, nobody ever really has their life figured out, because obstacles can come in your way at any moment. Many of these individauls who are in the SOF are experienced Warriors with YEARS behind them.

  • @Rijelthelovefool Just because you cant fly doesnt mean shit. If you make it into SOAR and you are a 15T OR A 15U if you cant make it to FMQ you will go back to being a mechanic plain and simple. 160th honestly is about the least toughest Special Operations unit to get into because simply aviation needs so much support MOS's they can be as picky as the other units. 160th is the BEST aviation unit behind one other respectively.
