The Baiyue is peoples who inhabited southern China and Vietnam between the first millennium BC and the first millennium AD.[1][2] In the warring states period, the word "Yue" referred to the State of Yue in Zhejiang. The later kingdoms of Minyue in Fujian and Nanyue in Guangdong are both considered Baiyue states.
Vietnamese is hero and unique Viet(Yue) who fought against all of Chinese dynasty to gain independence.

It has just been 60-70 yrs,we no longer understand each other even we are the same kind, my friend. If you have chance to read the right history, please note that the Nygyen dynasty were using Kan-ji and 100 yrs ago vietnam was the last place where you can see people wearing the traditional Han Dressing(漢服/吳服). Vietnamese were proud of knowing/reading/writing Kan-ji, and believe that they are the only right descendant of the Kan Culture which was the greatest culture in Orient & south east asia.

In my opinion, I support teach some of Hanzi for our children because Hanzi is a part of Vietnamese history. Children at least can read hanzi in pagoda or in ancient book.

Lol, these nationalist Viets/Chinese are funny. The modern concept of ethnicity is largely a modern construct. Just because a little line divides southern China and Vietnam on a map, it doesn't mean that these people are of completely different "races". Vietnamese and Cantonese obviously have fairly similar genetics, what seperates them is culture, language and politics.

Southern Chinese and Vietnamese do have some shared roots, and that's a fact. Deal with it.

As recent research , Bai Yue ( Bach viet) is owner of South Yangzi river to red river from 2000 years ago before Han Chinese.

And some culture from 5000 years, 4000 years ago of Bai Yue (Bach Viet) 百越/百粵 as Dong Son culture (bronze drum culture) or Jade culture Luong chu (5000 years ago) proved that Bai Yue (Bach Viet) is civilized people , absolutely different with lie of Han Chinese history book that “Bai Yue is barbarian “

As I know, 90% Chinese are Han ethnic now. As you know Han is absolutely Yue(Viet)

Vietnamese government didn't ban Kan-Ji, we are simple don;t teach it is school. Only teach it in university for special students who learn it.

We are teaching Vietnamese latin writing system and English in school now.

I agree with you that Bach Viet ( Bai Yue in Mandarin)=百越/百粵. 越, 粵, 鉞= Yue= Yuth= Viet= Dziet=Yueh= Yuet ( subject to pronunciation).

Pls note that 粵 - short form of Canton (Guang Dong in Mandarin) is the same word to 越... We still speaking Cantonese粵語... We are Canton people粵人.... Definitely different to those Chinese.... If your gov't didn't banned all the Kan-ji ... nowadays we can still communicate smooth thru the written Kan-ji...

Pls don't call PRC people Han, they dont deserve the word Han... They are not the descendant of the 華夏文化 (Han Culture), only Jap and Korean follow Han culture now
