Episode one features African-American professional skateboarder Darren Harper. Darren was surely on his way to prison or death should he have continued the street lifestyle he was living in SE Washington, D.C. Realizing that those two options did not suit him he did a 360 and skated his way out of drugs, poverty, and crime to become one of the few professional African-American skateboarders. Currently signed to Stevie Williams skate team Dirty Ghetto Kids (DGK) and Blink 182's Travis Barkers Famous Starts and Straps. Darren aka "D-Streets" has been highly influential when it comes to blending hip-hop fashion and skating.

Darren embodies the very essence of the focus of the "Recognize" series. He is a leader and a prime example that you can do anything you put your mind to!

Mixcast spots them first so you can RECOGNIZE.
