This style of Buddhist art traveled eastward and was quickly adopted at Kizil, Xinjiang and ultimately Dunhuang. Buddhism reached the height of its power in the 8th and 9th centuries in Afghanistan before it fell to the Arabs.

I've had muslim students for many years and they have been nothing but polite and kind, with that said, a lot of Arabs who are muslim take their Qur'an way to literately. In all honesty (not relating to all muslims) but it is one of the most backwards, outdated, medieval, strict, war causing, intolerant philosophie or religion I've ever seen. Get with the times ISLAM, you cant cut off girls body parts because she runs away any more. Fuck, I'm Buddhist and even this tests my patience.
