Strong industrial dark ambient album with a lot of reference to In Slaughter Natives. After their debut album "Candles Burning Blue" SWARTALF are back with an this album album which is milestones above their previous work!!! Neo-classical, orchestral string arrangements are topped by thick, powerful crunching guitars; massive drums combined with bombastic orchestral percussion and gothic poetry recited by hellish male vocals, countered by heavenly female chants. 8 new tracks in celebration of pagan idols. A perfect mix of darkwave, industrial, etheral and experimental metal all combined to offer a very unique and multi dimensional masterpiece of music.

  • There is really no information about this band anywhere it seems. I bought the album when it was new, and noe one seems to have heard about them. Even the booklet is more or less info-less. Anyone else that knows something? Have they released something after this?

  • Unfortunatelly, they only have two albums (Candles burning Blue, and The golden section...

i couldnt get more info about them.

  • damn this is nice, i wish they would've let out the electronic parts later on... such a shame.

  • @calebmalkavian ....yes :-) and I have them both.....awesome music!!!!

  • :) Thank you for putting this up.. I came across him in about 2001 by chance but havent been able to find much about him since.. could you please post a few more.. and maybe Leviathan Rising? :D

  • Yes, it's an one-man project...and he did many more wellknown projects...his music is fantastic!!

  • Yes. Contrary to popular belief it is not a scandinavian band, but just a one-man project. The reason that there is no information in the booklet is because he wishes the listener just focus on the music, not the person behind it. Too many questions like: Why this style? What did you think while creating? What do you want to tell the world? ...He just enjoys creating the music, and let the listener decide for him/ herself. :)
