live in ft worth and at 65 thats 6 hrs from amarillo to ftworth as long as u dont speed thru childress ur good 100 is ok why a koonook down here anyways ?? lol

If he's going from Amarillo to Fort Worth directly, he's driving on U.S. 287--trying to look for any significant road markers because I've made that trip many times...

I would suggest that anyone travelling I-10 west bound to take the old scenic loop 90
near Ozona and check out the view of the Pecos River Valley , it is quite a panoramic view ! Then visit old Fort Lancaster down the mtn in the floor of the valley .

@kasl33 THERE IS NOT ONE PLACE IN TEXAS WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT FOR CARS IS 90 MPH...AND THERE IS NO PLACE IN TEXAS WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT FOR TRUCKS IS 80 MPH....YOU MUST NOT BE A TEXAN OR YOU WOULD KNOW THIS...OUT IN WEST TEXAS THE SPEED LIMIT FOR CARS IS 80 MPH IN PLACES.....70 MPH FOR TRUCKS IN ALL OF TEXAS
