GUIDING LIGHT - March 2009 "A Case Of Desperation"

Flashing back, Buzz is trying to convince Grady to help him take down Alan, but Grady is hesitant, fearing Alan would take him down, too.

Grady checks his phone, and sees that he missed a call from Cyrus. Buzz and Daisy continue to persuade Grady that Buzz' plan to take down Alan will work. Grady seems to agree, and tells Buzz that he knows what he's getting himself into, and he knows that becoming an honourary Cooper will be well worth it. He looks at Daisy, who is looking back lovingly.

Grady and Buzz set things in stone with a handshake. Buzz vows that Alan will pay for what Alan did to Coop (What, call him?). Cyrus inches the door open and tells Grady he needs to talk with him right away. Grady steps out.

Buzz asks Lillian if he can be released, and Lillian says no, they are still waiting for his test results. Lillian loves having Buzz around so she can look after him. After Lillian leaves, Buzz asks Daisy to help him sneak out of Cedars.

Buzz and Daisy arrive at the Municipal Building, where they spot Doris taking care of some paper work. Buzz lures Doris to the case, telling her it will be her biggest victory ever. How much of a case does Buzz have? He has Grady testifying for Alan's part in the crimes, and in return Grady will get off free. Doris gets a warrant for Alan's arrest, and Daisy embraces Buzz.

At Company, Beth is calling Hilda, telling her to get Phillip to call her right away. She coldly watches Alan and Lizzie talking comfortably at a table when Doris and a police officer storm in. Alan is under arrest for the murder of Tammy Randall. Alan asks if Doris is joking. Buzz tells Alan there is no joke. Lizzie fights to free Alan, but Doris pulls her away, telling Lizzie he can't help her anymore. Alan tells Lizzie to follow him to the station. Lizzie stops back and tells Buzz she needs Alan free, but Buzz says he needs Alan locked up, and walks away himself. Lizzie storms out after Alan, leaving a shocked Beth speechless at the bar.

Buzz walks into his quiet, closed up restaurant. Cyrus follows close behind, angry with Buzz for leading Grady to believe that Buzz and the Coopers will actually accept him for who he is. Buzz, sporting a sinister frown, tells Cyrus that Grady will be just fine. Cyrus is disgusted.
