@llandod77 Blood transfusions are very dangerous. Aids, gonorhea, syphillis, many other disease are transmitted. It is too costly to test for these. Aids takes 6 months to mature enough to be detected. If someone just got Aids a WEEK ago, then gave blood, they would pass that onto the blood transfusion. They can't hold the blood for 6 months to see if it has Aids(OLD). The bible warns many thousands of years ago that blood shouldn't be eaten. GOD IS WISE! Genesis 9:4;Leviticus 17:10-16;19:26

Even The United States Military is using bloodless surgery because it is this great myth that blood transfutions saves lives. Now Doctors are saying blodd less surgery is more beneficial, cheaper, less costly, and the patients recovers faster. This propaganda of hatred is beeing revoked by the truth by The Medical community. @llandod77 That’s my point that a blood transfusion can save lives and that the organization view on this matter is wrong. You should not have to tell an elder that you giving your son blood . it should be as clear as keeping your child out of the street , no one should feel they are going against God’s law because they save a life. Especially when they have twisted the scriptures to fit their doctrine.

@TheShelia6 i used to be a jw, and if i said to an elder, that my son needed a blood transfusion in noway way would i say no, i would save my sons life, however it would mean getting disfellowshipped. my friend got hit by a car in the early 80s, was in a coma and needed a blood transfusion, his parents said he will not be taking blood, but the doctors did it anyways, to save his life, yes god works in mysterious ways

Yes but read the scripture before that. It wasn’t a life or death matter but rather a way to keep peace and unity in the congregation
