the first time i listened to this album, bought at woolworths for probably $2.50 when it first came out, i listened to it again and again, being a young woman, and it made me feel so sophisticated. just recently bought more cd's, and now i know what she is talking about, some 40 years later. awesome woman. changed my life.

Most people have no clue about this lady. Your life will never be the same if you explore her body of work. Her music is timeless and she deserves to be recognized in the R&R Hall of Fame for the angel she now is.
No worries either way, she was in the Hall of Fame for me 32 years ago already.

She was in my Hall of Fame 35 years ago. And that's the only one that matters to me!

Sounds to me as if it's about the passage of time and, in the last half, wondering if one will find one's true love somewhere in life. It's hopeful though ("Timer knows the lady's gonna love again...")

I wonder if Timer = God...
