Can you play music? Yes, absolutely - at least according to the dictionary definition of music. But you probably couldn't play classical music or Beatles covers on it in any recognizable way. Instruments like these often come up with their own unique tuning systems. I believe most of Tom's instruments can't be tuned after they're built. The music you get is unique to the instrument.
