  • Surprisingly, this is more common than we think. People have just been silent about their abuse, but as you share it does help people to open up and deal with what they've been through.

  • @NothinButAwesom It's so common! That statistics don't even scratch the surface. One guy I dated told me 80% of crimes go unreported! <--- That is outrageous!

  • OMG! I think that is awful. You are such an inspiration because you are at a place in your life when you can talk about it. You are so strong because some people have so much trouble coping with having been abused. I hope you go to therapy and continue please its imperative. Abuse is real I have worked with children and women who were abused and it took so much from me, because I was living in a bubble and couldn't believe the savagery of human beings. Stay strong and love yourself.

  • @p4173 "Abuse is real" as you say and the quicker we can address these issues head on, the better it will get. While I no longer go to therapy, the process of healing is always ongoing and takes many shapes and forms!

  • This is a great video, and I hope more parents will talk to their children at a young age before it starts. And also not to be so quick to pass children off to just anyone to care for them. I'm sorry that this happened to you, but I am glad that you were able to see yourself out of such a dark place in your life. I applaud you for using your knowledge to help someone else. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

  • @Iamsonotmyhair Your words are wonderful!

  • @sheenalyoung I was saying that even if you are not sexually abused you can be touched by it through knowing someone who has been. But I am not saying 100%. Nothing in life is 100% for every person. Glad you are taking measures to prevent, educate and bring to the surface this topic.

  • @h2opmayana Thank you for watching and listening!!!!

  • @nappyhershey01 You are welcome!

  • @nicegurl35 Thank you.
