First in a new series of videos -- This year I'm going to be recording videos in each of the cities I travel to. I think this will be a great way to showcase a wide variety of organs and organ music!

Video #1: HURRICANE, WV
Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church
9/18/11

MUSIC:
Scherzo, from Symphonie No. 2
Louis Vierne (1870-1937)

  • Glad to see these six manual organs here in the Unted States. Sadly not too many are found here in the U.S. Only other one I know of is at Macy's in Philly.

  • @DSM1G90 ...found the info: a six manual Allan Hurrah hybrid organ, consisting of both pipe and MIDI built in 2003.. 2,588 pipes and 456 draw knobs, combining traditional and digital musical equipment (using 64 computers and nearly 150 speaker systems).

  • What make is this monster ... a Rodgers?

  • Great fun! Looking forward to your recital next week in DC!!!

  • A six-manual organ in West Virginia. That's about as amazing as this performance! I'd have come up with a few notes to play on #6 just to say I used them all.

  • Brilliant as always, dear Christopher!!

  • Brilliant and wonderful as ever, Chris!
