Here's some primitive early '50s-style R 'n' B stuff that I cooked up.

If you dig this, feel free to stream my album at http://www.redhookboppers.com/

Guitar: Gretsch 6120 DSV with Seymour Duncan Dynasonics
Amp: Vox AC-15 ('90s reissue)

  • Yes, VERY big difference. The Duncans have a meatier, fuller sound with more midrange. They also sound identical to an original DeArmond Dynasonic which the stocks really don't. The Duncans are wilder and far more engaging. I thought the stocks were real wimp machines.

  • I guess the reason you only have 3 stars is because too many 12year olds have watched this and not understood...

  • Could be although when I had a different title it actually had 1 star at one time!

  • genioussssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • @JohnnyFriendly (500 views in less than a month . I post videos since a very short time , like one month now )

  • @JohnnyFriendly people ... ah , sometimes . My video "ableton live baja telecaster DEMO SONG !!!!" got , like , 500 views .

then i try making actually nice and interesting videos , but those attract less because of less attractive title , but you got to have people watchin' your vids , try to make something out of it , might be cool . so , let's be attractive and get views :)

  • I have a Gretsch, a G6192 Country Club with Dynasonic. Did you find any important difference between the original Dynasonic (in stock with the Gretsch) and the Seymour Duncan?

I think you have e great sound!

  • Im not sure what RnB song youd compare that to, but the warmth was a refreshing change from the usual Tele-style jangle. Im on the fence between a 5120 and an ES 335. Im still kicking myself over a Tennessee Rose I moved too slowly on that got away. Something to go with my Fender Twin.

  • awesome!!! I like the tone a LOT....!

  • man i love the smooth sound of the gretsch guitar, nice tunes man.
